YOUNG TEENS PROGRAM
Our Young Teens Program is designed to cope with the interest and needs of our younger teens between the age of 13 to 16, taking into consideration with the development of the changing voice and physical growth.
SHOW CHOIR
Suitable for ages 13 to 18
Broadway Academy is the only academy in the country offering this truly American Show Choir program. Students learn how to combine singing and choreography into a scenic art. This is the first step into Musical Theater as features in the TV series GLEE.

Our Show Choir students are exposed to various performances including festivals and competitions abroad. We have clinched Gold Medal award at the Bali International Choir Festival in 2018.
​
We offer 4 levels of Show Choir:
Freshman Team - Beginner
Sophomore Team - Intermediate 1
Junior Team - Intermediate 2
Senior Team - Advanced

Show Choir students learn songs from various genres from Show Choir Mashups, Musical Theater Medleys, Pop Medleys to Acapella singing.

Students have an option to enroll for graded certification leading up to diploma levels offered by Trinity College London Exams (UK) or the International Music Examinations Board (Australia).
NUSANTARA SCENIC ENSEMBLE
Suitable for ages 13 to 18
The Broadway Academy Nusantara Scenic Vocal Ensemble is a unique singing ensemble combining cultural and traditional singing with movement and dances from the various ethnic treasures within Malaysia and the Malay Archipelago. This ensemble teaches our young teens on the values of our heritage and ways of making it trendy to appeal to the present day audience.

Students in this ensemble will have the opportunity to perform in many events and also to represent the country at international festivals and competition.
​
Students have an option to enroll for graded certification leading up to diploma levels offered by Trinity College London Exams (UK) or the International Music Examinations Board (Australia).
DRAMA FOR YOUNG TEENS
Suitable for ages 13 to 15
Our Broadway Academy Drama for Young Teens is a program that helps young teenagers express themselves and build self confidence to cope up with the ever changing world today. The program trains students to develop command with their vocal projection and positive energy in self expression with teen related elements and comedic elements. Students also learn to develop confidence with their physical growth and how to use their facial expressions and body movements to convey expressive intentions through the various acting techniques. This program is a must for every young teen that wishes to have a good time to develop their skills and personality to shine as a young adult.

The program runs on three independent terms annually. Students will explore new topics in each term and may take it to another level as a young professional actor.

VOCAL RUDIMENTS & MUSICIANSHIP
Suitable for ages 13 and above
The Vocal Rudiments & Musicianship course is a Broadway Academy "Signature Program" that helps musicians understand information on a sheet music and develop an inner hearing. Students will be taught how to read music notations and how to interpret them inside the mind to create a logic sense of what's happening on the page. This program helps students to attain good pitch, rhythm and a sense of musicality. This is a program that every musical should go through and highly recommended even for instrumental musicians.

Level 1 - Beginner
Level 2 - Intermediate
Level 3 - Advanced
Level 4 - Advanced

Optional advancement:
Level 5 & Level 6 - optional for group studies / choirs / vocal ensembles

SING TODAY! FOR YOUNG TEENS
Suitable for ages 13 to 15
Sing Today! for Young Teens is a singing class in groups of 4 students per class. At Broadway Academy, we fully understand the challenges faced by young teens when they go through a transformation from children to young adults, especially with the voice change. Our program for young teens dress these issues and help young teens develop their voice with confidence and ease.
Students are free to choose any songs that they wish to learn or improve on. The groups are divided to beginner, intermediate and advanced groups.

Students in this program will attend 2 classes:
Vocal Rudiments & Musicianship (1 hour) - This class teaches students how to read musical notations and develop inner hearing to improve on pitch, rhythms and solfege. Based on the student's musical background, students will be fitted in one of the 4 available levels.
Levels:
Beginner - Level 1
Intermediate - Level 2
Advanced - Level 3 & 4

Sing Today! (1hour) - This class focuses on the singing and vocal development aspect. Learn techniques and performance practices. Students will be placed in a suitable group according to their singing level.
Groups:
Beginner - Total beginners to Grade 2
Intermediate - Grades 3 to 5
Advanced - Grades 6 to 8 & Diploma

PRIVATE VOCAL LESSONS
Suitable for all ages
At Broadway Academy, we understand the challenges which young teens go through especially with their development and changing voices. Therefore, our vocal lessons are designed to help younger teens with their voice change effectively.

Broadway Academy's Vocal Lessons is one of the only programs in the country that combines skill development, performance practices and the physiology of the voice. Students will learn to develop their voice safely and effectively while gaining knowledge and confidence for their performance. Students may choose from the genre study options:
Musical Theater Singing (Broadway)
Classical Singing (Art Songs & Operatic)
Pop & Jazz Singing
